Ghost Writing, Magazine Writing, Journalism, Self Publishing, and Marketing this weeks Seminar


On Thursday, January 30th, at 6:00pm at the Eastern campus, the Wayne County Community College District Entrepreneurial department will host a workshop on:

 

                                    The Business of Writing

 

The workshop will feature veteran writer Denise Crittendon.  Denise will talk about:

 

Ghost Writing

Magazine Writing

Journalism

Freelance Writing

Self Publishing

Marketing

 

Writing is Denise's first love. Denise is a veteran journalist and author of GIRL IN THE MIRROR, A TEENS GUIDE TO SELF AWARENESS and LIFE IS A PARTY THAT COMES WITH EXAMS, books that empower teens and preteens.

Denise is also a former staff writer for the Detroit News and the Kansas City Star in Kansas City, Kansas. In 1994, she was appointed editor of the national magazine, THE CRISIS. Her honors include the City's “Spirit of Detroit Award,” the “Mary J. Ball Children's Advocacy Award,” the selection as “One of the Most Influential Women in Metro Detroit” and numerous writing awards.  

The workshop will be held in the Eastern Campus Corporate College Cooper Room.  There is no charge. Bring a friend.  Light refreshments will be served.
