Deana Vitale, currently serves as a counselor for the Procurement Technical Assistance Center at Wayne State University.  In this role she is responsible for assisting Detroit area businesses in obtaining and performing on federal, state and local government contracts to enhance national defense and economic development of the State of Michigan.

 

Her knowledge and experience with the defense industry comes from recent and past experience as Operations and Quality Manager for an aerospace and defense supplier of precision machined CNC products where she handled new business quotes and customer sales in excess of $3M annually.  In addition to the implementation of a successful quality system she created several vital processes including inventory and surplus management, safety, control charting, calibration, employee suggestions and work flow data sheets.

 

Ms. Vitale previously held key positions at General Motors supporting Global Purchasing as their Supplier Diversity Manager, Global Quality as Speechwriter and Communications Manager to the Vice President,  and Powertrain test labs as ISO 17025 Implementation Manager.

 

Deana has four grown children, one of whom serves our great nation as a U.S. Marine, and resides in New Haven, Michigan.

Only Five weeks are left to collect as much food donations as possible. This year has been extremely difficult for the less fortunate and every donation makes a big difference.

 



This year's food drive with the goal of collecting 28,000 pounds of food to stock up Food Bank Council of Michigan and member food pantries is moving right along, but the communities support is critical.

The Food Bank Council of Michigan is touched by the generous support of TWO MEN AND A TRUCK® and all the schools, media and collection partners backing this food drive," said Kareemah El-Amin, Executive Director of Food Bank Council of Michigan. "Movers for Meals will significantly help stock our food banks' shelves leading up to a busy and crucial winter season.
